UNVEILING THE MICROBIOME OF A MEGA RIVER

For this project, I had the opportunity to join a group of scientists on their expedition along the entire length of the Paraná River in Argentina.

This was a project funded by Argentina's National Scientific and Technical Research Institute (CONICET) with support from National Geographic.

The Paraná River is one of the mega-rivers of the world, and a hotspot of biodiversity. This NatGeo Project represents the first microbiome expedition considering all the extension of the Paraná River in Argentina.

During the expedition, I was responsible for producing and managing communication for this project. My tasks included: video and photography production, editing all promotional material, managing the project's social media accounts, and interviewing participants.

This is a promotional video I made when the expedition and sample collection stage along the entire length of the river was completed.
